BITB Literary Awards

Books in the Borough, Inc., is pleased to celebrate local authors from Connecticut and Rhode Island by recognition of excellence in writing through its annual juried BITB Literary Awards.

Gold, Silver, and Bronze Star trophies will be presented to titles in the categories of Adult Fiction, Young Adult Fiction, Children's Books, and Poetry. Finalists and Honorable Mention certificates will bring the total number of selected authors to forty.

Finalists will be announced publicly on April 1. Medalists will be announced live at the noon Awards Ceremony during Books in the Borough 2027 on May 15.

Youth Literacy Library Prize

Enjoyment of reading and literacy go hand-in-hand. In our mission to elevate the literary arts, a portion of annual proceeds will be donated to a public library in Connecticut or Rhode Island in support of its youth literacy programs. The winner of the Youth Literacy Library Prize will be announced publicly on April 1, with a check presented to the winning library at the noon Awards Ceremony during Books in the Borough 2027 on May 15.
